Toke Makinwa was born on 3rd November 1984 in Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria. She is currently 36 years old. She grew up in Lagos where she had her Primary school education and obtains her First School Leaving Certificate.
She completed her secondary education at the Federal Government Girls’ College in Oyo State, where she obtained her West African Senior School Certificate, she then proceeded to the University of Lagos where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Literature.

Toke Makinwa started her radio career in 2010 when she became the co-hosted the Rhythm Fm’s The Morning Drive. While her career was fast growing, she was opportune to host the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) beauty pageant.
Aside from the Rhythm Fm’s The Morning Drive, Toke Makinwa co-hosted several others programs.
