Gwyneth Paltrow: Id Still Rather Smoke Crack Than Eat Spray Cheese

In 2011, Gwyneth Paltrow famously revealed that she would “rather smoke crack than eat cheese from a can.” Four years later, Goop’s arbiter of taste is not backing down from her stance.

During a question and answer session with readers on her Goop blog on Monday, April 11, the It’s All Easy cookbook author, 43, was asked if she still felt the same way. “Hell yes,” she wrote. “You know, crack might be extreme, but spray cheese is not my kind of party.”

Paltrow is notorious for her militant eating habits: Her 2016 GOOP detox diet had a laundry list of forbidden foods, including red meat, dairy, corn, soy, added sugar, white rice, shellfish, caffeine, alcohol**, gluten, tomatoes, eggplants, peppers and potatoes.

“I try to eat on the healthier side, but I’ll tell you, when I have my pizza and wine, I enjoy it to the last crust,” Paltrow admitted in the Q&A. “Delicious food should be eaten with enjoyment. Balance is always important, but let’s face it, nothing is better than good pizza.” The Oscar winner also confessed she occasionally indulges in martinis and French fries!

The Iron Man actress, who is in the process of divorcing her estranged husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, revealed that their kids Apple, 11, and Moses, 10, crave (gasp!) white sugar, white carbs and processed foods. “I try to have a pretty clean pantry at home,” she wrote, “but if we pass a bag of Cheez-Its at the airport, or Apple sees Mexican Coke, it’s all over.”
